That process typically looks at whether the product was made under cGMP, whether the label matches what is in the bottle, and whether ingredients are on Amazon's restricted list.

• Label images: clear photos of all label panels, including the Supplement Facts panel, the manufacturer or distributor name and address, and the lot and expiration area.
• Manufacturing documentation: evidence that the product is made in a facility following dietary supplement cGMP.
• Testing: product testing arranged through the verification process, where required.
• Claims review: listings and labels cannot include disease claims. Structure/function claims need the standard FDA disclaimer on the label.

1. Every unit must show an expiration date. Amazon specifies accepted formats, such as MM-DD-YYYY or MM-YYYY. A lot code alone is not enough.
2. Master cartons must show the expiration date in large, legible print on the outside of the carton.
3. Minimum remaining shelf life: Amazon requires a minimum amount of shelf life remaining when inventory is checked in. The commonly cited figure is 90 days, but confirm the current number and plan to send much fresher stock than the minimum.
4. Removal near expiration: Amazon removes or disposes of units as they approach their expiration date, so slow sellers with short dating are at risk.
5. One date per carton: keeping a single lot and expiration date in each carton avoids receiving problems and makes FEFO easier on Amazon's side.

Each unit needs a scannable barcode that Amazon can link to your listing. If you use FNSKU labels, place them over any existing barcode so only one barcode can be scanned, and make sure they do not cover the Supplement Facts panel, the expiration date, or required warnings.

• A bundle needs its own listing and its own barcode, distinct from the individual units.
• Bundled items must be packaged together, typically in a sealed poly bag, shrink wrap, or box, and marked as a set that should not be separated. Individual unit barcodes should be covered so they cannot be scanned separately.
• Poly bags must meet Amazon's thickness and suffocation-warning requirements.
• The bundle's expiration date should be the earliest expiration date of any item inside, and it must be visible on the outside of the package.
• Record every lot number in each bundle, so a problem with one component can be traced.

Heat-sensitive supplements and meltable inventory

Amazon applies seasonal rules to meltable products. Historically, meltable inventory has been accepted into fulfillment centers only during cooler months, roughly mid-October through mid-April, and unsold meltable units may be removed when warmer weather arrives. Some gummy supplements and soft chews can fall under these rules. Check how your product is classified before planning spring and summer inbound shipments, and consider building stock in fall and winter.
